Man on Skateboard Dies after Hit by Truck on Old Elsinore Road in Perris

 
PERRIS, CA (August 15, 2021) – A skateboarder was killed in a traffic accident on Old Elsinore Road in Perris Saturday evening.
 
The accident happened around 8:37 p.m. on August 14. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was riding a skateboard when a truck hit him at 20221 Old Elsinore Road .
 
The impact caused the skateboarder fatal injuries and he died at the scene. Authorities withheld his identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
A witness told the CHP the road was dark when the man tried to cross the street.
 
It is unknown if the driver of the truck remained on scene after the crash.
 
At this time, this fatal crash remains under investigation.
