Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Big Rig on 15 Freeway in Fontana

 
FONTAN, CA (July 26, 2021) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on 15 Freeway in Fontana Friday evening, July 23.
 
The accident happened around 9:43 p.m. just south of Sierra Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was walking in the third lane when a big rig struck him.
 
Paramedics arrived soon after and rushed the pedestrian to Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center with major injuries. Sadly, the victim died while undergoing treatment.
 
Coroner’s officials did not release the identity of the pedestrian at this time.
 
An investigation into this fatal accident is underway.
