Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on Delta Avenue in Tracy

TRACY, CA (July 27, 2021) – One person died in a two-vehicle accident on Delta Avenue in Tracy early Saturday morning.

The accident happened around 4:10 a.m. on Delta Avenue near South MacArthur Drive. According to the California Highway Patrol, a pickup truck and a Ford Fusion collided near the intersection. The impact sent both vehicles off the roadway and into a 15 feet embankment.

When officers arrived, they located two people trapped inside a vehicle that was partially submerged in the water.

Firefighter paramedics extricated the patients and rendered medical aid, but one of the them died at the scene. The condition of the other party was not immediately known.

At this time, CHP officials are still investigating the crash to determine the cause and liability.
