Head-On Accident on Camino Del Rio North in Mission Valley Leaves 1 Driver Dead

 
MISSION VALLEY, CA (July 25, 2021) – One person died in a head-on accident on Camino Del Rio North in Mission Valley Tuesday afternoon.
 
The accident happened just before 4:00 p.m. on July 20, in the 3400 block of Camino Del Rio North near Mission City Parkway. According to the San Diego Police Department, two cars collided head-on for unknown reasons.
 
First responders pronounced one of the drivers dead at the scene. The victim was only described as a 65-year-old man.
 
Paramedics took the other motorist, who was elderly, to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
Both involved vehicles were disabled after the crash.
 
At this time, it is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
