Domingo Cordova Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Indio

 
INDIO, CA (June 30, 2021) – Domingo Cordova was killed in a pedestrian hit-and-run in Indio Monday evening, June 28.
 
The incident happened around 9:00 p.m. on Shadow Palm Avenue, just west of Monroe Street. According to the Indio Police Department, Cordova was walking in the area when a red full-size pickup truck struck him.
 
Responding officers found Cordova lying in the roadway with fatal injuries. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Cordova was a 57-year-old resident of the city.
 
Meanwhile, the involved driver reportedly fled the scene.
 
There are no crosswalks or traffic lights where the crash occurred. The circumstances surrounding the crash were unclear.
 
Detectives are still looking for the male suspect. They asked anyone with information to call the police department at 760-391-4057.
