32-Year-Old Man Hit and Killed on Highway 99 in Modesto after Ejected from His Car During Crash

 
MODESTO, CA (June 16, 2021) – A 32-year-old Stockton man was hit and killed on Highway 99 in Modesto early Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened around 2:12 a.m. on June 13 at the Pelandale Avenue off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a black 1996 Acura Integra when veered off the roadway and crashed into a ditch.
 
The Acura then overturned, ejecting the man onto the middle lane of the highway. While lying in the roadway, several vehicles then struck him.
 
As a result, the man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. His name has not yet been released pending notification of his family members.
 
The involved drivers reportedly fled the scene.
 
At this time, authorities are still investigating the fatal crash and on the lookout for the hit-and-run suspects.
