Myriam Cascella Fatally Struck by SUV on Allen Avenue and Las Lunas Street

 
PASEDENA, CA (June 7, 2021) — Coroner officials identified Myriam Cascella as the 80-year-old Pasadena woman killed in a pedestrian crash on June 1.
 
The accident occurred at Allen Avenue and Las Lunas Street just after 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
 
According to Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Russo, Cascella walked east across the roadway in an unmarked intersection. Then a small SUV moving north struck her.
 
Paramedics pronounced Cascella dead at the crash site.
 
Police said that a 50-year-old Pasadena woman was behind the wheel of the SUV.
 
Lt. Sean Dawkins said that there were no initial signs that alcohol or drugs contributed to the incident.
