Fatal Car Accident on Greenback Lane in Folsom

 
FOLSOM, CA (May 23, 2021) – A juvenile was killed in a car accident on Greenback Lane in Folsom Thursday evening, May 20.
 
The accident happened between American River Canyon Drive and Folsom Auburn Road. According to Folsom police, a vehicle had crashed into a tree for unknown reasons.
 
Emergency personnel immediately responded and found the child trapped inside the car. They attempted life-saving aid, but the unidentified victim died at the scene.
 
The only other person in the vehicle was the victim’s father, who was not injured from the crash.
 
Police closed Greenback Lane for several hours while they investigated the accident. They did not indicate if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
