Gonzalo Anaya Unharmed in Fatal Semi-Truck Crash on Olive Avenue near Cressy Way

 
LIVINGSTON, CA (May 4, 2021) — Gonzalo Anaya was uninjured in a deadly semi-truck accident on Olive Avenue near Cressey Way.
 
According to authorities, the two-vehicle crash happened around 12:14 a.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, officers found a 2013 Honda Civic that had crashed into a 2021 Peterbilt truck hauling a utility trailer.
 
For unknown reasons, the driver of the Honda allowed his northbound vehicle to cross into the southbound lanes. Subsequently, the Honda crashed into the Peterbilt truck, driven by 57-year-old Anaya.
 
Due to the force, the Honda caught on fire. Anaya tried to save the Honda driver from the flames. However, the driver of the Honda died in the accident. Authorities have withheld his name pending notification of family members.
 
At this time, investigators have no clue as to what drove the accident. However, if anyone has more information, please contact the California Highway Patrol.
