Justin Ardagh Dies after Struck by Car in Truckee, Stephen Lally Arrested

 
TRUCKEE, CA, (April 21, 2021) – Justin “Shuba” Ardagh died in a DUI hit-and-run crash Wednesday last week in downtown Truckee.
 
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on April 14, in the area of Jibboom Street and Bridge Street. According to Truckee police, a red Subaru struck the 25-year-old Truckee resident near the intersection.
 
The driver of the Subaru, 32-year-old Stephen Andrew Lally, fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
Responding paramedics found Ardagh lying unconscious on the street. They rushed him to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada with severe head injuries.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, Ardagh did not survive and was declared dead, police said Monday.
 
Meanwhile, police officers were able to track down Lally. They arrested him for felony hit-and-run. They also discovered enough evidence to book him for driving under the influence of alcohol as well.
 
Lally remained in custody Thursday in the Nevada County Jail on a $75,000 bond, reports state.
 
This fatal incident is under investigation.
