18-Year-Old Driver Dies in Fatal DUI Crash on Tremont Road in Dixon

 
DIXON, CA (April 20, 2021) – Police confirmed that a teenager died following a rollover crash on Tremont Road on April 17.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Buckley Road around 9:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, a black Ford Mustang was running fast eastbound on Tremont when the 18-year-old male driver made an unsafe turn. Subsequently, the vehicle travelled into a field and overturned.
 
As a result, the crash impact ejected the driver and an 18-year-old male passenger in the right backseat. The victims were not wearing seat belts at that time. A responding coroner pronounced the driver dead at the scene. His identity was not immediately available. Crews used a medevac helicopter to transport the passenger to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment for major injuries. In addition, crews also transported a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old girl by ambulance to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
 
Police suspected alcohol as a factor in the crash. However, they urge anyone with information to contact Officer Garcia at the CHP Solano office at 707-428-2100.
