Coroner Identifies Construction Worker Killed in Victorville Crash

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (March 26, 2021) – The coroner’s office identified the construction worker who died after struck by an SUV Thursday afternoon in Victorville.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:00 p.m., March 25, in a construction zone along Hesperia Road south of Green Tree Boulevard.
 
Police said a white Chevy Suburban was traveling northbound when it drifted off the roadway and struck four pedestrians, who were working at the location near an excavator. When deputies arrived they found the victims suffering from multiple injuries.
 
Isaac Paul Lopez, 45, of Corona died at the scene.
 
A second male victim sustained life-threatening injuries. Paramedics airlifted him to Antelope Valley Medical Center for treatment.
 
Meanwhile, a ground ambulance took the other two victims to local area hospitals with unspecified injuries.

The driver of the SUV remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
