Major Injuries Reported in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 76 in Pala

 
PALA, CA (February 3, 2021) – One person was seriously injured after a motorcycle accident on Highway 76 Sunday, January 17 in Pala.
 
The accident happened around 1:52 p.m. on Highway 76 near Pala Mission Road. According to an initial report, the motorcycle collided with a sedan on the highway.
 
When officers arrived, they found the rider suffering from serious injuries. Paramedics rushed the patient to Palomar Hospital in Escondido in an unknown condition.
 
Crews temporarily blocked all eastbound and westbound lanes between Pala del Norte and Pala Mission Road on Highway 76 until around 2:45 p.m. while they worked on the scene.
 
It is unclear at this time if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident. An investigation is still ongoing.
