REDDING, CA (May 10, 2024) – A 19-year-old woman sustained injuries in an electric bicycle accident on Highway 273, Thursday morning.
 
According to the Redding Police Department, the incident happened on May 9, at about 8:30 a.m. As per reports, a westbound electric bicycle was on the southside of the intersection against a red light.
 
Then, the bicycle crashed into the side of a southbound vehicle near Cedars Road.
 
The impact of the collision ejected 19-year-old Victoria Holland from her bicycle. As per reports, she was not wearing a helmet.
 
Emergency crews transported Holland to a local hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle, identified as 64-year-old Denise Johnson, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
