Woman Killed, Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident at Hesperian Boulevard and Industrial Boulevard [Hayward, CA]

Passenger Dies after Pickup Truck and Car Collide on Hesperian Boulevard in Hayward

 
HAYWARD, CA (October 12, 2023) – A woman died and three other people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at Hesperian Boulevard and Industrial Boulevard in Hayward on Monday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:55 p.m. on October 9. According to the Hayward Police Department, a pickup truck and a car collided for unknown reasons.
 
As a result, the female passenger in the car suffered severe injuries. She was rushed to a hospital, where she later died.
 
The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau only identified the victim as a 39-year-old Hayward resident. They will release her name once family members are properly notified.
 
Meanwhile, the 36-year-old male driver of the car, was treated at the scene with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Two other passengers in the car, a 9-year-old girl and a 3-year-old girl, were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The man and the two girls are also residents of Hayward.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 46-year-old Modesto man, was unharmed. He remained on scene and cooperated with police.
