Late Pedestrian Crash on 15 Freeway near Baker Ends in Fatality

 
BAKER, CA (October 12, 2023) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on 15 Freeway near the town of Baker late Tuesday evening on October 10.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:03 p.m., about nine miles from the town of Baker. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was walking across the southbound lanes of the freeway when they struck by a white Toyota.
 
When officers arrived, they found a pedestrian unresponsive on the roadway. Life-saving measures were performed on the pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The of the Toyota stayed on scene and cooperated with officers.
 
This fatality is still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Barstow Office. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call 760-255-5900.
