Hit-and-Run Sedan Fatally Strikes 58-Year-Old Pedestrian on El Camino Real in Mountain View

 
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (February 15, 2023) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian hit-and-run on El Camino Real in Mountain View Thursday morning on February 9.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 6:00 p.m. between Clark and Escuela avenues. According to the Mountain View Police Department, a 2013-2015 silver Nissan Altima struck the woman who was walking in the area.
 
After striking the victim, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
The woman, a 58-year-old Mountain View resident, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Her name was not immediately available.
 
First responders conducted an extensive search, but the suspect was not located. Police said the Nissan should have passenger side damage. It was seen turning from Clark Avenue onto El Camino Real immediately before the crash.
