Woman Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident on East White Lane

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 6, 2022) — A woman suffered fatal injuries in a pedestrian crash on East White Lane on Sunday, December 4.
 
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, officers rushed to a pedestrian accident on East White Lane near South Union Avenue shortly after 7 p.m.
 
Investigators said that they discovered the female pedestrian in the roadway with major injuries. She died at the scene. The Kern County Coroner’s Office has not yet released her identity pending notification of loved ones.
 
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
Police said the pedestrian walked outside a crosswalk in westbound lanes at the time of the incident. Additionally, they said alcohol, drugs, and speed were not factors in the crash.
