Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Sedan on South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach

 
LAGUNA BEACH, CA (March 13, 2023) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach Friday night on March 10.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:25 p.m. near Mountain Road. According to the Laguna Beach Police Department, the female pedestrian was attempting to cross the southbound lanes of South Coast Highway in an unmarked crosswalk when a sedan struck her.
 
Paramedics immediately responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
 
The involved driver stayed after the crash and cooperated with police.
 
Neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the crash. Laguna Beach police urged anyone with information regarding the crash to call them at 949-497-0701.
