Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Car on Highway 108 in Oakdale

 
OAKDALE, CA (September 14, 2023) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on Highway 108 in Oakdale Monday evening on September 11.
 
The fatal accident happened shortly after 9:00 p.m., just east of Odessa Way. According to the California Highway Patrol, the female pedestrian was crossing the street from the south roadway edge towards the north roadway edge when a Cadillac struck her.
 
Responding emergency personnel found the woman lying on the ground with fatal injuries. They pronounced her dead at the scene.
 
It is unclear if the involved driver stayed after the crash. It is also unknown if alcohol and/or drugs played a factor in the crash.
 
This fatality is still under investigation.
