Woman Dies after Hit by Truck while Walking Her Dog on Edgemoor Street in Poway

 
POWAY, CA (December 4, 2022) – A woman died in a pedestrian accident on Edgemoor Street in Poway Saturday morning on December 3.
 
The accident happened around 9:00 a.m. at Midland Road. According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, a 35-year-old man was driving a Ford Ranger and had stopped at the intersection. He was turning left when he did not see the woman who was walking her dog in the crosswalk and struck her.
 
As a result of the crash, the woman suffered serious injuries. She was rushed to a hospital, where she later died. She was 69 years old.
 
Drugs and alcohol were not suspected factors in the crash. Anyone with information about the crash was encouraged to call sheriff’s traffic investigator Tracy Wallace at 858-513-2800.
