Woman Trying to Run Across Blackstone Avenue in Fresno Dies after Struck by Vehicle

 
FRESNO, CA (April 10, 2022) – A woman died in a pedestrian accident at Blackstone Avenue and Sierra Avenue in north Fresno late Friday evening.
 
The accident happened just before 11:00 p.m. on April 8. According to the Fresno Police Department, the woman ran into the path of car traveling on Blackstone Avenue.
 
First responders rushed the woman to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
 
The involved driver stayed on scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
Police said alcohol or drugs did not play a role in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
