Late Evening Hit-and-Run Crash on South Riverside Avenue in Rialto Leaves Pedestrian Dead

 
RIALTO, CA (June 16, 2023) – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash on South Riverside Avenue in Rialto late Monday evening on June 12.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:15 p.m. near Santa Ana Avenue. According to the Rialto Police Department, the female pedestrian was struck by a red sedan that had fled the scene.
 
Responding fire crews pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
 
Officers believe additional vehicles may have also struck the woman while lying in the roadway after the initial crash.
 
The victim’s identity was withheld pending notification of her family members.
