Woman Dies in Car Crash with Tractor on Stone Avenue in Modesto

 
MODESTO, CA (February 21, 2023) — A woman died in a car accident with a tractor on Stone Avenue near Highway 132.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-vehicle collision happened around 7:45 p.m. Sunday. For some reason, a 25-year-old Modesto woman driving a 2018 Honda was straddling the north and southbound lanes of Stone Avenue. She then allowed her vehicle to hit a southbound 2013 John Deere tractor hauling farming equipment.
 
The woman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died from her injuries. Authorities have not confirmed if impairment played a factor in the crash.
 
The woman’s name has been withheld pending notification of family members. However, we will update this report with new information should we receive any.
