36-Year-Old Woman Dies in Crash Involving Big Rig on 10 Freeway in Baldwin Park
BALDWIN PARK, CA (August 2, 2021) – A 36-year-old woman died in a big rig accident on San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Baldwin Park early Sunday morning.
The accident happened around 4:15 a.m. on August 1, along the westbound freeway at Frazier Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the Los Angeles woman was driving a 2011 Hyundai when she rear-ended a 2013 Freightliner due to unsafe speed for the traffic conditions.
As a result, the woman suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office will release her name once her family members are notified.
The driver of the big rig was not injured.
An investigation is ongoing. The CHP’s Baldwin Park area office urged anyone with information regarding the crash to call them at 626-338-1164.
