Woman Airlifted to Hospital after Pickup Truck Crash on Avenue 280 and Road 48

 
VISALIA, CA (February 8, 2021) — A woman was hurt in a pickup truck crash on Avenue 280 and Road 48 on Wednesday, January 20.
 
According to California Highway Patrol officers, a pickup truck crashed with a milk tanker outside a Visalia dairy at around 1:30 p.m.
 
Tulare County firefighters rushed to the scene to help the woman trapped inside the car. Medics airlifted her to a local medical center in critical condition.
 
Officials closed Road 48 to traffic as the helicopter landed on the roadway.
 
Authorities asked motorists to avoid the area as tow trucks responded and clean-up efforts continued.
 
There were no reports if speed or impairment contributed to the accident.
