Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash on 14th Avenue in Armona

 
ARMONA, CA (February 23, 2022) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident on 14th Avenue near Locust Street on Monday afternoon.
 
According to investigators, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 3:45 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver leaving a nearby Dollar General parking lot struck the woman who was crossing 14th Street.
 
Soon after, paramedics reached the area and brought her to Kaweah Health Medical Center in Visalia with major injuries. However, despite having received life-saving efforts, the woman died shortly after.
 
At this time, the precise details of the accident require further investigation. However, police do not suspect alcohol or drugs as contributing factors in the accident.
