Woman Dead in Overturned Crash on Highway 152 in San Benito County
SAN BENITO COUNTY, CA (May 26, 2023) — A woman died in an overturned accident on Highway 152 near Dinosaur Point Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-vehicle crash happened around 9:40 p.m. Monday. For an unknown reason, a San Mateo woman driving a westbound 2008 Mazda3 drifted toward the left lane. The vehicle continued out of control on a right curve in the roadway and struck a concrete divider before the car overturned.
Subsequently, an unknown amount of time passed, and a 2008 Mercury driving at an unknown speed struck the Mazda vehicle.
The unidentified female Mazda driver died from her injuries. In addition, a 10-year-old San Mateo boy in the Mazda suffered moderate injuries and sought care at a local hospital.
Paramedics also treated an 82-year-old Salinas woman in a 2008 Mercury who suffered moderate injuries and the Mercury driver who suffered minor injuries.
