2 Hurt in Overturned Truck Crash on Locust Street in Cottonwood

 
COTTONWOOD, CA (May 26, 2023) — Two people reported minor injuries in an overturned truck accident on Locust Street and 4th Street.
 
According to the Cottonwood Fire District, the two-vehicle crash happened around 7:00 a.m. Wednesday. For unknown reasons, two vehicles crashed, including a truck that overturned. Upon responding, firefighters found one person trapped inside the overturned vehicle and safely freed the person through the windshield.
 
The rescued patient suffered only minor injuries in the crash and declined hospital transportation. Another person in the second car complained of minor injuries and also declined hospital care.
 
At this time, officers do not know what led to the collision. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm these details.
