1 Dead in DUI Off-Road Crash near Florence Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (February 16, 2024) — A woman died in an off-road DUI accident near Florence Avenue and Arthur Avenue.
 
According to Fresno Police officers, the deadly off-road crash happened around 11:30 p.m. near Hyde Park. For DUI-related reasons, a driver of a Polaris Razor lost control of the vehicle and crashed.
 
Shortly thereafter, police responded to the scene and located an unresponsive woman in her early 20s. Despite rendering life-saving measures, hospital staff pronounced her dead. Officials did not provide her name.
 
As for the driver, a man in his mid-20s, he stayed and cooperated with police who eventually ascertained that alcohol factored into the cause. In addition, investigators determined that the pair was not wearing helmets or seat belts. If anyone has more information on this case, please call Fresno officers.
