Woman Killed in Fresno Multi-Car Crash on Central Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (July 21, 2021) — A woman died in a multi-car accident on Central Avenue near Highway 41 Monday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred before noon. For unclear reasons, a driver in a white Honda Insight, driving at a high rate of speed, rear-ended a black Toyota Yaris stopped at a red traffic light.
 
Due to the force of the collision, the Toyota Yaris slammed into a blue Honda Accord while the white Honda careered and crashed into a Chevy in the next plane.
 
Tragically, the woman in the Toyota suffered fatal injuries while the Honda driver sustained merely minor injuries. Soon after, paramedics arrived and transported the Honda driver to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
 
At this time, CHP officers say the driver could face manslaughter charges. However, an ongoing investigation continues.
