Woman Suffers Severe Injuries after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Waddell Street in Whittier

 
WHITTIER, CA (July 19, 2022) – A woman suffered severe injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Waddell Street in the unincorporated county area near Whittier early Thursday morning, July 14.
 
The 42-year-old woman went out to lock her Jeep, which was parked on the street, according to the California Highway Patrol. A passing vehicle then hit her in the 11600 block of Waddell Street around 1:00 a.m.
 
After hitting her, the driver drove away without stopping.
 
The woman’s boyfriend went outside because she was taking awhile, found her and called 911.
 
Paramedics arrived soon after and took the victim to a trauma center with complaints of pain to her back and hip and was bleeding from the pelvic area.
 
At this time, the hit-and-run suspect remains at large. Further investigation is underway.
