Sedan and Pickup Truck Collide in Rosamond Killing Two Teenagers

 
ROSAMOND, CA (December 22, 2023) – Vincente Antonio Arredondo-Twist and Imber Jahziel Orduno died in a two-car accident in Rosamond Thursday afternoon on December 14.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:05 p.m. on Rosamond Boulevard, just east of 50th Street West. According to the California Highway Patrol, Arredondo-Twist was driving a 2007 Nissan sedan eastbound on Rosamond Boulevard at a high rate of speed.
 
At the same time, a 40-year-old was driving a 2010 Toyota pickup truck westbound on Rosamond and was approaching the Nissan.
 
Arredondo-Twist crossed directly into the westbound lane in front of the pickup truck causing a crash.
 
As a result, Arredondo-Twist died at the scene. He was 19 years old. Orduno, 18, was his passenger, who was also killed in the crash. Both were Rosamond residents, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
 
Officers said both victims were not wearing their seat belts.
 
Speed was determined to be a factor in the crash and a possibility of impaired driving. Further investigation is underway.
