UPDATE: Vencella Aaron Dead in Accident on Village Drive [Victorville, CA]

One Killed, Woman Hospitalized in Traffic Crash on Village Drive and Amargosa Road

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (August 26, 2021) — One person suffered fatal injuries in an accident on Village Drive on Wednesday, August 25.
 
The incident occurred at around 10:33 a.m. just west of the intersection of Amargosa Road and Village Drive. It involved a dark-blue GMC Envoy.
 
Victorville City Firefighters rushed to the scene. Soon after, they found the overturned SUV along the eastbound lanes and the sidewalk.
 
Officials said 53-year-old Vencella Aaron of Victorville died at the scene.
 
Another victim became trapped in the vehicle. Using the jaws of life, firefighters freed the woman from the car. Soon after, they brought her by ambulance to Victor Valley Global Medical Center. After that, they airlifted her to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
 
Officials closed Village Drive between Lanada Avenue and Amargosa Road. Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) handled the on-scene investigation.
