LA VERNE, CA (September 22, 2021) – Authorities believe that speed played a role in a two-vehicle accident that caused traffic light outage at White Avenue and Towne Center Drive.
 
According to the La Verne Police Department, the incident happened on September 19, at about 9:54 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, two vehicles collided at the intersection.
 
The impact of the crash caused one of the vehicles to slam into the intersection’s signal box. As per reports, the intersection’s traffic lights were out until Monday. The intersection turned into a four-way stop as city workers repaired the signal box.
 
Emergency crews confirmed that none of the people involved suffered injuries.
 
La Verne police continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
