Traffic Accident Involving School Bus on Avenue 12 in Madera Leaves Two Students Injured

 
MADERA, CA (February 15, 2025) – Two students were hurt in a bus accident at Avenue 12 and Road 32 in Madera on Thursday morning.
 
The accident happened around 7:20 a.m. on February 13. According to the California Highway Patrol, the school bus was from Golden Valley Unified School District and had 29 students on board. The bus was traveling northbound on Road 32 and was stopped at the stop sign at Avenue 12.
 
As they were waiting, a big rig crashed into an SUV, causing the SUV to then crash into the left side of the school bus.
 
The impact of the crash left two students in the school bus, an 18-year-old and a 16-year-old, with minor injuries. Both were transported to Valley Children’s Hospital with complaints of pain.

The cause of the crash and factors involves remain under investigation.
