SANTA YNEZ, CA (September 22, 2021) – A rider and his passenger suffered injuries in a motorcycle crash on Mission Drive on September 19.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just west of Highway 154 around 4:30 PM.
 
Based on an initial report, a motorcycle was traveling on the highway at the time of the crash. At the same time, a blue Honda Insight was also on the road. Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle struck the motorcycle.
 
Immediately, Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the scene. As a result, the male rider and his female passenger sustained major injuries in the crash. Paramedics airlifted the victims to the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment. The driver of the car was not hurt in the incident.
