Car Crashes into Tree on 15 Freeway in Baker Seriously Injuring Driver and Passenger

 
BAKER, CA (October 31, 2023) – Two people were seriously injured in a car accident on 15 Freeway in Baker Saturday afternoon on October 28.
 
The accident happened around 2:39 p.m. near the Basin Road exit. According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Toyota Corolla sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed when it veered off the roadway and crashed into a tree.
 
As a result, both the driver and the passenger suffered major injuries.
 
An air ambulance took the passenger to Loma Linda University Medical Center with multiples puncture wounds to both arms and other injuries.
 
A ground ambulance transported the driver to a local hospital in an unknown condition.
 
Alcohol or drugs may have played a role in the crash, which is still under investigation.
