Wrong-Way Driver Causes Fiery Crash on 10 Freeway in Palm Springs Seriously Injuring Himself and Other Motorist

 
PALM SPRINGS, CA (June 26, 2023) – Two men were seriously injured in a wrong-way crash on 10 Freeway in Palm Springs Tuesday morning on June 20.
 
The crash happened just after 9:00 a.m. near Highway 62. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Cruze was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of the freeway approaching the Highway 62 exit when it crashed into a Chevrolet Camaro.
 
Both vehicles caught fire from the impact and the male drivers suffered serious injuries.
 
Paramedics transported the two drivers to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs.
 
Both drivers were sole occupants in their cars.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
