Sedan and SUV Collide Head-On on Highway 116 in Sebastopol Killing Two People

 
SEBASTOPOL, CA (December 10, 2023) – Two people died and two others were seriously Injured in a head-on accident on Highway 116 in Sebastopol early Saturday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:11 a.m. on December 9. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Mitsubishi 3000GT was traveling eastbound when it drifted into the opposing lane and collided head-on into a Toyota 4-Runner.
 
As a result of the crash, the male driver of the Mitsubishi and his female passenger, both died at the scene. They were Santa Rosa residents.
 
A third male rear passenger of the Mitsubishi suffered severe injuries and was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. The male driver of the Toyota also suffered significant injuries and was transported to the same hospital.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
