Car Accident on Lincoln Avenue in Fresno County Kills Man and Woman
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (July 11, 2021) – Two people died in a car accident at Lincoln Avenue and Placer Avenue Saturday afternoon.
The accident happened around 4:49 p.m. on July 10. According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, a white SUV or sedan had overturned into a canal for unknown reasons. When officers arrived, the car was fully submerged in the water.
Fire crews and dive team managed to pull out a man and a woman from inside the car, but they were already dead.
Officers said the man and woman appear to be in their 40s.
It is unknown if the victims were using their seat belts. It is also unclear if alcohol or drugs was a factor.
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
