Plane Crashes at Chico Regional Airport Runway Injuring Two People Including the Pilot

 
CHICO, CA (July 13, 2023) – Two people were injured in a plane crash at the Chico Regional Airport runway Saturday morning on July 8.
 
According to the Chico Fire Department, the plane crashed into the airport runway around 9:39 a.m.
 
Two people, including the pilot, sustained minor injuries. They were the only people aboard and were able to get themselves out of the plane.
 
Neither of the two were taken to the hospital, the fire department says.
 
Crews closed the runway after the crash.
 
No other information available at this time. The Federal Aviation Administration is handling the investigation.
