WHITETHORN, CA (April 25, 2022) — Two people suffered injuries in a head-on accident on Shelter Cove Road on Sunday, April 24.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, two vehicles crashed head-on on Shelter Cove Road near Kings Peak Road.
 
At around 5:42 p.m., CHP reported the incident as a major injury collision.
 
Four people were involved. Two had injuries, however two were not hurt.
 
There are no reports if alcohol, drugs, or speed played a role in the crash.
 
Officials diverted traffic from Upper Toth Road to Willow Glen. The road reopened at around 9:29 p.m.
