Fiery Chain-Reaction Crash on 15 Freeway in Corona Sends 2 People to Hospital

 
CORONA, CA (January 29, 2024) – Two people were injured in a fiery chain-reaction crash on 15 Freeway in Corona Friday night on January 26.
 
The crash happened around 6:18 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the freeway at Magnolia Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter medical van carrying oxygen tanks struck the back of a Subaru sedan, which then hit a semi-truck.
 
The canisters exploded, triggering a fire that engulfed the first two vehicles and nearby trees and brush.
 
When officers arrived, they found two people suffering from minor injuries. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment.
 
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
