Two Sustained Injuries after Fiery Accident on 10 Freeway near Cook Street

 
PALM DESERT, CA (May 12, 2022) — Two people suffered injuries in a fiery accident on 10 Freeway on Tuesday, May 10.
 
The collision happened at around 8:50 p.m. on 10 Freeway near Cook Street. It involved one vehicle going over an embankment and then catching fire.
 
Firefighters then arrived at the scene. Medics transported two injured people to area hospitals by ambulance with moderate to minor injuries, Cal Fire said.
 
Officials closed all eastbound lanes of the freeway at the Cook Street exit after the incident. Those lanes reopened at around 10:15 p.m.
