DUI Crash on West Mission Bay Drive Injures Both Passenger and Driver

 
MISSION BAY, CA (February 25, 2022) – Two people were injured in a DUI accident on West Mission Bay Drive, late Monday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. on February 21 near Sea World Drive. According to the San Diego Police Department, the 34-year-old driver of a Mercedes-Benz was traveling with a 28-year-old passenger when the car struck a curb on the West Mission Bay Drive ramp.
 
As a result, the driver suffered a broken ankle. His passenger suffered a broken leg and was unconscious for three hours after the accident.
 
Paramedics transported the two to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
Police believe that DUI was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
