Two Dead in Phelan Head-On Crash on Highway 18

 
PHELAN, CA (July 25, 2021) — Two women died in a head-on accident on Highway 18 at Hacienda Road Thursday evening.
 
According to reports, the two-vehicle crash happened around 6:13 p.m. For unknown reasons, a white Ford Ranger truck and a black 2000 Subaru Impreza collided head-on.
 
As a result of the accident, paramedics responded but pronounced two females dead at the scene. Meanwhile, several others, including three people, were airlifted to a trauma center with critical injuries.
 
At this time, authorities plan to look at all angles to determine where the fault lies. However, officers believe that the driver of the black sedan was traveling erratically and passing on double yellow lines before the accident.
