High-Speed Crash on Sherman Way Involving Two Luxury Cars Leaves Two People with Critical Injuries
VAN NUYS, CA (November 15, 2024) – Two people were critically injured in a high-speed crash on Sherman Way in Van Nuys Friday evening on November 8.
The crash happened around 9:50 p.m. at Sherman Circle. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a Mercedes-Benz GT63 and Rolls-Royce Cullinan were speeding westbound on Sherman Way. The Mercedes then collided with the right side of an eastbound Honda Civic that was negotiating a left turn into a parking lot at Sherman Circle.
As a result of the crash, two occupants in the Honda suffered critical injuries.
Meanwhile, the Rolls veered to the left to avoid striking the Honda and went into oncoming lanes. It then collided with a Chevrolet Traverse that was going eastbound before striking a curb.
The driver of the Rolls Royce ditched the car and then took off.
The driver of the Mercedes stayed at the scene and only sustained minor injuries. He was later arrested for reckless driving.
