Audi Crashes Into Traffic Enforcement Scooter on Santa Monica Boulevard, Rider Suffers Significant Injuries

 
SANTA MONICA, CA (September 16, 2023) – A traffic officer was seriously injured in a scooter accident on Santa Monica Boulevard in Santa Monica Wednesday afternoon on September 13.
 
The accident happened around 2:00 p.m. near Yale Street. According to the Santa Monica Police Department, the traffic enforcement officer was riding a scooter and was crossing on a green light when she was struck by a black Audi that was traveling westbound on Santa Monica Boulevard.
 
The impact ejected the traffic officer from the scooter and she suffered significant injuries. Paramedics rushed her to a hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
 
No information about the driver of the car was provided.
