Brytnye Worsham and Timothy Smith Detained after Stolen Vehicle Accident in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 30, 2021) Timothy Smith and Brytnye Worsham face charges in a stolen vehicle crash at Hageman Road and Clay Patrick Farr Way Saturday night.
 
According to officials, the incident happened around 11:20 p.m. For fraudulent license plate reasons, police began pursuing a car but halted the chase for safety reasons.
 
Soon after, the vehicle crashed into another car at Hageman Road and Clay Patrick Farr Way. Two people, later identified as 30-year-old Smith and 20-year-old Worsham, escaped and tried to flee. However, officers arrested both and learned that the car was stolen.
 
Per reports, only one officer suffered minor injuries in the incident.
 
As of now, police have charged both suspects with conspiracy, possession of a stolen vehicle and associated weapons charges. However, if anyone has more to add to this accident, please call the Bakersfield Police.
